October is Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month and this year’s theme, “Building a Cyber-Strong Massachusetts” highlights the people and organizations that support and advance the state’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
Throughout the month, the MassCyberCenter is spotlighting simple actions individuals and organizations can do to strengthen their security and protect their economic future including:
- Enabling multifactor authentication
- Using strong, unique passwords, passkeys and a password manager
- Updating computers and mobile devices regularly
- Learning how to spot and report phishing attempts, especially those designed to impersonate your bank
- Using endpoint detection and response tools for security
As Massachusetts celebrates 250 years of American independence, Cybersecurity Month also recognizes the people and partnerships carrying the Commonwealth’s tradition of innovation and leadership into the future, helping position Massachusetts as a national cybersecurity leader.
